Awakening’s House
A shelter from the storm, in the heart of the city.
Awakening’s House began with a question: where can we set down the roles we carry, sit quietly, and feel free to meet ourselves as we are?
Explore this pathImagine leaving the traffic behind. Your shoes rest by the door. There is the scent of herbs, soft light, and a place for you at the table. Nothing needs to be achieved in this first moment. You have arrived.
The house is an invitation to pause between the noise outside and the quieter life within. Whether you come with a heavy heart, tired shoulders or simple curiosity, you do not have to explain yourself to belong here.
Some of us begin by listening to a singing bowl. Others find a little room to breathe in a colour, a stitch, the feel of earth or a page read beside a cup of tea. Sound, Art, Plant and Book are four paths through the same house.
We offer simple materials and attentive guidance. You bring your own pace, your own story and the freedom to discover what feels meaningful today.
Around the workshop table, small gestures become invitations to pay attention: choosing a colour, pulling a thread through cloth, stirring wax or sewing a pouch for warm herbal salt. Scent, texture and warmth bring the experience into the senses.
We are not here to make you a great artist. We are here to make space for curiosity, care and the possibility of being a little gentler with yourself.
You may undo a stitch. Begin again. Choose a quiet colour. Work in silence. There is no competition and no obligation to share something personal.
Our facilitators prepare the materials and help with technique, while leaving your choices to you. The object you take home can be a small record of a moment when you gave yourself your attention.
We aim to offer a welcoming, respectful space, thoughtful materials and patient guidance. Comfort is personal: you are welcome to ask questions, change your pace or take a break.
The house does not promise to fix your life. It offers somewhere to pause within it. Come as you are; leave with something made, noticed or quietly understood.
